Keeping Children Safe While We Work on our Homes

Get the Lead Out cares about keeping children safe and healthy. We want to protect them from lead dust during painting or repair work to homes built before 1978.

Under a grant from the U.S.  Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), we’re trying three approaches to keep our kids lead-safe.

In Santa Clara County, we’re working with contractors.

In Marin County, we’re working with day workers.

In San Mateo County, we’re asking the public to report any unsafe work.
